Shot 14: Return to shot 12, Jill and Dog are looking at the ball until Jill realizes that Dog has not moved, when she looks at Dog, the puppies smirks and runs the opposite direction from the ball. Jill, embaressed at being fooled, chases Dog.

Hey! You… Rotten… Sneak!
Dog and Jill run in and out of shot twice. The third time, Dog hides under the patio table. Jill also runs under the table, but when Dog moves, Jill bumps her head when she tries to grab the canine.
As Jill rolls away from the table in pain, Dog circles around Jill.
Dog
Whine?
Jill
Ow…
Shot 15: Med CU of Jill and Dog on the ground
Dog gets closer to Jill, looks concerned, and then jabs her nose in Jill’s ear.
Jill
Eeee!

Fade to Black.

Run credits

Cut to Jill really mad and running after a very scared Dog.

Continue credits.

Assignment 2 - characters

There are two characters for this short, Jill and Dog. Profiles for both as follows:

Jill - age 11-12
Likes to do two things at once, like sitting outside and reading. Fairly carefree, but starting to aquire some teenage qualitites like wanting privacy and automomy. However still young enough not to act terribly feminine, especially around peers. In this case, Dog is her only peer and torment.


Dog - age 3 months
Like typical Jindo puppies, very smart and independent, but cute enough to get away with bad behavior. At three months, Dog is at her height of cuteness and deviousness.

Lest I get accused of plagarism, I want to point out that Jill is a model I purchased from NewKat studios http://www.newkat.com/ two years ago. ( A friend of mine used to work there and I didn't want to spend time modeling and rigging my own characters back then.) For this kit, Jill is going to be modified to make her a little younger, smaller, and wear a ponytail. I will be sure to mention NewKat on the credits.

Dog, however, is based on my Eun Joo when she was 3 months old. All the antics Dog pulls on Jill are the exact stunts Eun Joo pulled on me, just not all at once like the short.

A puppy wants to play with its young owner, whether the owner wants to or not. After a fetch goes wrong, the puppy runs away. Owner and puppy reconcile, but under the puppy's terms.
